Employment Contracts

Being aware of any rights and responsibilities, before signing a contract, can cut down on later disputes about the contract. It is always a good idea to have legal counsel review any employment-related contract.

Employment contracts

Contracts can be full of terms that are difficult to read and hard to understand. Many contracts can be very long, and it can be frustrating to try to review all the terms of a contract in order to determine your rights and responsibilities. Even if a contract seems simple and easy to understand, it is always good to have an attorney review the contract.

There are a number of different contracts that are related to employment. Sometimes a contract is signed when an employee starts a job. Often times, contracts are signed when employment ends (e.g. severance agreements). There are also other contracts, such as non-compete agreements or non-solicitation agreements, which limit what an employee can do during or after employment.

It is always a good idea to have legal counsel review an employment-related contract. Being aware of any rights and responsibilities, before signing a contract, can cut down on later disputes about the contract. Indeed, it is better (and cheaper) to address any concerns about a contract before that contract is signed. Failure to get legal counsel prior to signing a contract can result in expending significant amounts of time and money, not to mention stress, trying to figure out how to enforce or nullify a contract at a later date.

Rambsy Law offers comprehensive guidance to employees on contracts. The firm works with employees to determine their individual needs and then advises clients as to whether specific contracts serve an employee’s individual interests. Whether the contract is an employment agreement, a non-compete agreement, a severance agreement, or any other contract related to employment, Rambsy Law is prepared to ensure that employees are educated about their rights, responsibilities, and choices.
