The legal system, like every other aspect of society, was upended by COVID19. In response to the pandemic, many courts enacted special rules or other policies and procedures to address some of the problems caused by COVID19. In particular, some courts extended deadlines, suspended or delayed in person proceedings, and allowed video or telephone proceedings in certain circumstances.
